LS-270-E – Bilge Water Type Level Switch

This bilge water level switch has been developed especially for low level alarms and can monitor levels as low as 35 mm. As the cable is vulcanized the switch is submersible to IP67.

The LS-270-E has been accepted by the Germanischer Lloyd, among others, and approved for application by the German Navy.

Principle

When the magnetic field of permanent magnet inside the float is moved into to the proximity of the reed switch inside the stationary stem, the reed switch contacts “snap” together and closes the electrical circuit. When the magnetic field is moved away from the reed switch, the reed switch contacts move apart and the circuit is opened.
